Giant TCX Advanced Pro 1 Overview

The Giant TCX Advanced Pro 1 is a composite cyclocross bike built with an Advanced-grade composite frame and Advanced-grade composite fork. The frameset is 17.5 percent lighter than the previous generation while retaining torsional and pedaling stiffness. The fork uses a full-composite OverDrive 2 steerer, and the frame is built around disc brakes and a 12mm thru-axle setup.

The bike uses a SRAM Apex AXS 1×12 drivetrain with a SRAM Apex AXS rear derailleur, SRAM Rival 10×36 12-speed cassette, and SRAM Apex 1 Wide DUB 40T crankset. The 1x layout keeps the drivetrain simple, and the Giant 1x chain guide is included as part of the build.

SRAM Apex AXS hydraulic disc brakes use SRAM PaceLine rotors, with a 160mm rotor at the front and 140mm rotor at the rear. The wheel setup features a Giant CXR 2 Carbon Disc WheelSystem with 35mm front and rear rims, Giant alloy CenterLock hubs, a rear 3-pawl 36t driver, and Sapim Sprint spokes.

Maxxis All-Terrene 700x33c tubeless tires come fitted for cyclocross riding, with the frame supporting a maximum tire size of 45mm. The Giant D-Fuse SLR composite seatpost helps absorb bumps and vibrations, and the frame also allows use of a standard 30.9mm round or dropper post depending on riding style and terrain.
